Job Description
We re a small, locally owned and operated custom cabinet shop in Baconton, GA, seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Cabinetry Finishing Technician with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative and creative team dedicated to delivering high-quality residential and commercial custom cabinetry.
In this hands-on role, you ll work in a woodworking shop environment, helping prepare custom wood cabinets for finishing and painting. You ll gain valuable skills in wood surface preparation, finishing techniques, and cabinet manufacturing while contributing to a growing company with a strong local reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Sand, scrape, buff, clean, and retouch wood cabinet surfaces for paint and finish application.
Use hand and power tools (e.G., scrapers, chisels, knives) to maintain proper cabinet shape and detail.
Apply primers, sealers, and protective topcoats as part of the cabinet finishing process.
Clean and maintain tools and equipment according to shop standards.
Ensure all tools and materials are stored properly after use.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE (personal protective equipment).
Collaborate and communicate with team members to meet production goals.
Perform additional shop duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Valid driver's license required.
Physically able to stand for long periods and lift 50+ pounds unassisted.
Comfortable with bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing in a cabinet shop environment.
Must be dependable, proactive, and eager to learn new skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in woodworking, cabinet finishing, or a construction trades job is a plus but not required.
Exposure to dust and noise in a typical wood shop setting.
