DIETARY WORKER
Job Description
WILL ASSIST IN THE PLANNING, ORGANIZING, DIRECTING AND COORDINATION OF ALL OPERATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT. MAINTAIN ALL FOOD AND SUPPLIES NEED. COORDINATE WITH DEPARTMENT ANY SPECIAL DIETS. MAINTAIN ALL DOCUMENTS AS REQUIRED. REPORTS TO ADMINISTRATOR.
Job Requirements
Organize and implement food service policies and procedures ensuring compliance with USDA food service regulations. Check menu needs daily and review standardized recipes to ensure that foods are prepared as required. Evaluate food based on nutritional adequacy, method of preparation, waste, appearance, serving temperature and portion size. Check, order and maintain food stock to ensure that all necessary foods are on hand to serve the menu as written. Check emergency food and water stock. Document any substitutions or needed changes on the menu and the reason for the change. Note changes on all therapeutic diets. Make sure all daily menus are dated properly and filed for at least 30 days. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding food service equipment. Perform all other duties as assigned.
