Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Transit Bus / Van Driver to provide reliable transportation services to passengers. This role is responsible for operating a van or small bus along assigned routes or schedules, ensuring passengers are transported safely, comfortably, and on time. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a transit bus or van in accordance with assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch requests
Provide courteous, respectful, and professional customer service to all passengers
Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations in a timely manner
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies or passenger injuries, following established procedures
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
Monitor vehicle condition, including reporting damage, maintenance needs, and oil change requirements
Complete maintenance and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner
Fuel the vehicle as required throughout the day and at the end of each shift
Clean and maintain the interior of the bus or van after daily operations
Maintain all required records, logs, and documentation
Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and traffic laws
Perform other related duties as assigned

Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid driver s license with a clean driving record for the past three (3) years
Ability to comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and roadway regulations
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
Reliable, responsible, and capable of working independently
Professional, well-groomed appearance; closed-toe shoes required
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, push, and pull as needed for job duties
Willingness and ability to complete required training and certifications upon hire
Experience operating transit vehicles is preferred
Basic computer skills are preferred
Demonstrated ability to safely and correctly operate transportation equipment
