Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Facility/Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Americus, Georgia. This on-site position is ideal for a hands-on individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and the physical ability to manage a wide variety of building and equipment maintenance tasks. Job Requirements
In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance throughout our facility, including tasks related to carpentry, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing. You will also be expected to perform general cleaning, respond to maintenance requests, and support operational functionality across multiple departments. The ability to manage minor repairs independently and communicate effectively with team members is critical.
Applicants must be able to use standard hand and power tools safely and confidently. Physical stamina is a must, as the job requires lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing up to 100 pounds, especially when operating power cleaning equipment or handling supplies and waste. The ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, sit, or lie horizontally as needed for various maintenance tasks is essential. This is a physically active position that requires awareness, responsibility, and safe practices at all times.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as you will interact with staff across multiple departments. Dependability is key candidates must meet or exceed our standards for attendance and punctuality. Occasional overtime may be required, depending on the needs of the facility and the nature of ongoing maintenance projects.
