Successful candidates should be self-motivated, reliable, and physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and moving for extended periods. Prior cleaning experience is a plus, but not required. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines are essential.
Please note that candidates will be expected to meet all hiring standards, including a general background check, to ensure a safe and secure work environment for all.
This position is open to applicants in Americus and the surrounding areas communities. Summer custodial roles begin soon early applications are encouraged.
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Americus, GA
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday Thursday (10 hour daily shifts)
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience
Additional Information
Job Duties Include:
Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds with assistance.
Responsible for cleanliness of all building areas including halls, bathrooms, classroom, cafeteria, library, lounge, and office area.
Responsible for minor maintenance repairs, & replacement of toilet holders, pencil sharpeners, light bulbs, etc.
Responsible for security of buildings.
Responsible for care and maintenance of custodial equipment and supplies.
Responsible for the orderly storage of custodial supplies and equipment.
Responsible for removal of and deposit of trash and waste in appropriate containers.
Responsible for assisting in cleaning and maintaining grounds and shrubs as directed by the Facilities Director, Principal, or Superintendent.
Responsible for assisting in the general operation and welfare of buildings, grounds, and personnel.
