Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of public parks, green spaces, and city-owned facilities. Key Responsibilities
Perform general groundskeeping and landscaping duties including mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, and debris removal.
Operate and maintain outdoor power equipment such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, and pressure washers.
Maintain clean and safe public areas including parks, playgrounds, sports fields, medians, sidewalks, and other municipal properties.
Perform seasonal duties such as leaf collection, reading water meters, and irrigation system upkeep.
Conduct minor repairs and report any hazards or damage to facilities.
Keep accurate records of maintenance performed, materials used, and equipment servicing.
Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment during work.
Assist with set-up and clean-up for city events, activities, and community programs.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
Prior experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or facility upkeep preferred.
Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on lawn care and groundskeeping equipment.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, standing for long periods, and performing manual labor.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience operating a backhoe is preferred.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
