GROUNDSKEEPER/MAINTENANCE
Job Description
Enjoy working outdoors and excel at independent work? This position might be perfect for you. Groundskeepers perform landscaping tasks to maintain facility grounds. Enjoy having a 4 day week? During summer hours they work longer days Monday through Thursday so that they can have Friday's off! Become part of the team today.
Responsibilities:
Assist the maintenance department with maintenance on grounds and/or facilities. Operate outdoor power equipment safely and efficiently. This will include mowers, blowers, trimmers, pressure washers and more. Mows grass, trims weeds, and rakes leaves. Picks up and removes trash prior to mowing. Putting the trash in the proper receptacle. Empties trash cans and recycling containers into the proper receptacles. Trims bushes, shrubs and hedges. Prepares soil and plants flowers, bushes, hedges or shrubs. Plants trees and prunes them when necessary. Utilize hand tools as needed. Ensures that tools are properly secured and clean at the end of the shift. Performs routine maintenance on equipment. All other duties as assigned. Follows all established safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
Ability to operate various types of power equipment. Ability to use hand tools. Ability to understand written/oral assignments. Knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes. Excellent time management skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, lift, reach, squat and stand for extended periods of time. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work well independently and as a team.
Must have a valid up-to-date driver s license. Due to the nature of this position, a clean background is required.
