MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Job Description
THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT AND PHYSICAL PLANT FACILITIES.
Job Requirements
Perform maintenance repair and preventive maintenance tasks as necessary and assigned to ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained and perform as designed.
Coordinates assigned work with others in the execution of maintenance tasks and procedures.
Perform record-keeping documentation on maintenance forms, logs, and Work Orders as necessary.
Communicate with Production, Quality, and Sanitation personnel involving maintenance activity or corrective action.
Ensure that departmental maintenance work is performed in a safe and workmanship manner according to company policies and procedures.
Monitor production equipment for proper operation, performance, and safety compliance. Notify the production lead of abnormal conditions requiring immediate attention including shutdown of equipment as required for safety, quality, personnel safety, or equipment safety issues.
Able to work overtime and weekend hours required.
Follow quality, production, and safety policies.
Train other team members to become familiar with the equipment in the facility
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of production equipment, plant facilities, and maintenance practices required.
Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
High School degree or equivalent.
Proficient computer skills required.
Must be able to stand on concrete for up to 12 hours, bend, and stoop and able to lift up to 75 pounds.
