NURSERY COORDINATOR
Job Description
The Nursery Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the young children of the church are well cared for in an enriching environment.
This is a part-time position. It will be Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. This does include Holidays.
Job Responsibilities:
Create a safe and caring environment for the children. Ensure that all nursery staff are training in CPR, First Aid, Safe Sanctuary and childcare duties. Serve as supervisor in charge of the nursery. Ensure that the nursery is properly staffed. Ensure that rooms are clean, safe and inviting. Greet parents and ensure that they are signed in properly. Ensure that staff greet parents that are picking up their children, brief them on the child s experience and make sure that they sign out their children properly. Keep the spaces clean and safe for children. Ensure that the staff/child ratio is correct. Communicate with parents, staff and other employees. Maintain a database of nursery staff.

Previous experience with teaching and/or child care for young children is preferred. Ability to maintain professionalism in all circumstances. Ability to wear the appropriate attire. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficient in email. Ability to utilize a computer and computer software to create signs, sign in sheets, etc.
A clean background is required for this position.
