SHOP WELDER - MIG
Job Description
The MIG welder will complete metal projects that match the clients specifications. They may also assist in other areas of the shop.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare metal surfaces for welding. This will include cutting, grinding and cleaning. Reading and interpreting blueprints. Setting up and operating welding equipment. Selecting appropriate welding parameters. Creating joints for fabrication or structural purposes. Removing slag. Check the strength of your welds after each has been made. Inspect materials for quality. Operate tools properly. Ensure tools are returned to the designated areas. Keeping work areas clean and free of debris. Wear all required PPE. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Proven experience as a MIG welder. Proficiency in MIG welding techniques. Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints, drawings and work orders. Knowledge of welding tools and equipment. Basic math skills. Ability to stand for the majority of the shift. Ability to lift, reach, twist, bend, grasp, kneel and walk.
