We are actively seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team in the Perry and Macon, Georgia area. Job Requirements
As a Staff Accountant, you will report directly to the Corporate Accounting Director and support day-to-day financial operations. Your responsibilities will include preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledger and sub-ledgers, performing account reconciliations, assisting in inventory adjustments and fixed asset reporting, and contributing to timely monthly closes. You will play a vital role in maintaining accuracy and compliance in accordance with GAAP.
This full-time accounting position is ideal for someone with strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and an understanding of cost accounting, pre-paids, accruals, and consolidated financials. Candidates should be comfortable working across departments, managing multiple priorities under deadlines, and supporting internal and external audits.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, supporting inventory count processes, managing balance sheet analysis, handling recurring entries, and providing data for payroll and fixed asset reporting. You will also assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
We are looking for candidates with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-driven attitude. The ability to manage complex tasks with precision and professionalism is critical to success in this role.
